Pablo Casals
Pau Carles Salvador Casals i Defilló, plus communément connu sous les noms de Pau Casals ou Pablo Casals, né le 29 décembre 1876 à El Vendrell (province de Tarragone, Espagne) et mort le 22 octobre 1973 à San Juan (Porto Rico), est un violoncelliste, chef d'orchestre et compositeur espagnol.
Hors scène Casals s'est engagé contre les dictatures, en particulier celle de Franco en Espagne, et fut proposé[réf. nécessaire] sans succès au prix Nobel de la paix en 1958.
